in light of classic ford arguable decision to class only cars made before 1989, got me thinking about what cars build after that year would we still consider to be classics? not necessarily fords, but id be interested in your ideas Smile
things like
escort coswoth,
fiesta turbo
mitsubishi evo 6,7,8
lotus Carlton (< sorry for bad language )

are classic cars really to do with age?
whats your thoughts?

if all else fails lets take a trip down memory lane, head in the clouds into the acid rain lol sorry (glad you didnt hear me sing that )

my feelings on this are not to do with how old it is but if its no longer in production i would class them as modern classics

I'm with jan on this I've yet to find any two people who can both agree on a set age for cars being considered being classic.
for me very little of todays cars will ever become classic. classic in my eyes are cars that regardless of age are things that I see and think that they deserve to be regarded as a classic even tho I may not like them myself.

i would have said any car that was a new innovation in technology would become a classic, but also aged cars that were replaced in production with something modern and shapeless  cyclops

all older motors will be classic because of the old films and also they all had a great deal of styling go into them
a lot of modern motors are wind tunnel specials  Crying or Very sad

yea i'll agree with the styling you can tell instantly which car is which, not just fords but all older cars because of the unique shape or rather a classic shape modern cars don't have that now they all look the same
